Cafe Britt
When you combine exceptional growing and processing conditions along with strict control from tree to cup, you get the most extraordinary Arabica coffee in the world, Café Britt. The Café Britt roasting plant is located 4,000 feet above sea level, high in the lush, volcanic central valley growing region of Costa Rica, where the coffee trees receive the perfect balance of sun, rain, and humidity. At the plant, small batches are carefully roasted under the watchful eyes of our master roaster and dedicated quality control staff to assure a perfectly uniform roast. Each batch is taste-tested by an expert coffee "cupper" to confirm its perfect balance, body, aroma, flavor and acidity. The coffee is then meticulously inspected once again and immediately packed warm in our Aroma-lock valve packs. The coffee beans Café Britt roasts are naturally patio dried under the warm rays of the Costa Rican sun, and graded to stringent gourmet specifications. After the coffee is dry, it is still surrounded by a natural protective coating known as the "parchment". The coffee is held in this natural, protective parchment until just before roasting. This critical step gives Café Britt its remarkable freshness and consistency.
