Namdhari Seeds was founded by Mr.Uday Singh in 1985 at Urgahalli, Bidadi, Bangalore for contract production of vegetable seeds for export from India. In the due course of time a separate division was created for Research & Development of hybrid vegetable seeds, suitable for Indian agro-climatic conditions. Later on Namdhari Seeds Pvt. Ltd., was formed for domestic marketing of developed hybrid vegetable seeds. His Holiness Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji’s role as the mentor and guide of Namdhari Seeds Pvt. Ltd. in setting the success achievements is impeccable. We export high quality seeds to USA, Japan, Europe and other countries, on the basis of contract production. We are selling locally bred and developed hybrid vegetable seeds like Tomato, Watermelon, Hot Pepper etc. in Indian market and neighboring countries. Urgahalli Estate was originally bought for a stud farm, keeping the mild climatic conditions in mind. The farm measuring 185 acres was identified and selected by His Holiness Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji. But as it was totally undeveloped and dry land area, it became difficult to grow many crops in this farm. A part of the farm was just suitable to grow sugarcane and ragi. Thereafter the farm development work started with a small quantity of OP seed production for local companies. However that was not the only target of Namdhari Seeds. With the deep visionary thinking of our Chairman cum Managing Director Mr. Uday Singh, the first contract order of US $ 6000 was bagged from a U.S company for production of F1 Hybrid Tomato seeds, and that was the beginning of our growth.
